In the blessed month of Ramadan 2016, Project “Feed 100K” in Indonesia was a great success, with the will of Allah and the help and support of our volunteers and supporters, we were able to reach many of the poor, the needy, the orphans and the elderly.

We were able to feed 1000 orphans and approximately 4,500 who were poor and needy. Totalling to 5,500 people.

During our trip we also provided the orphans with a fun day out. On this fun day, we took the orphans out to a fun park. We organised for clowns to come, we had face painting done, we organised for games to be played (and joined in some of the games), we provided them with cotton candy and balloons. We provided a nutritional lunch for all the children present and their accompanying adult carers. Everyone had their fair share of what consisted of breast chicken, hot chips, salad, bread and drinks. Everyone left with bellies satisfied and the children smiled,

Refugee Crisis

Due to devastating destruction’s caused by wars and other disasters around the world, there has been an alarming increase of refugees, especially coming out of Syria.  All sorts of people from infants, children and the old are obliged to leave their homes and are forced to find food and shelter in foreign lands. Millions have died on their way either on land or in the sea.

The rest who make it to foreign lands are often taken for granted and forced into degrading positions such as prostitution (for young girls and women) or hard labour with very little or no pay (for young children).

– The Holy Quran, 76:8-9

With the humanitarian crises across the globe only worsening, the plight of our brothers and sisters is becoming increasingly desperate.  In April  2016  the Al-Ihsan team decided to head back to Turkey to help. We purchased 28 tons of food necessities that we distributed to the Syrian refugees inside Turkey.

Syrian Refugee Appeal

When calamity strikes, we all have a part to play in responding to it. We all have a duty to respond to the desperate cries of the Syrian people. We all have a role to play in providing them with the food and water they require to survive, the clothes and blankets they need to keep warm and the shelter they are otherwise without.

In February 2016 our team responded to the cry of our Syrian brothers and sisters who are in dire need of assistance. Al-Ihsan launched the  “Syrian refugee appeal” and provided 94 tons of food,
