Supporting the poor and needy is one of Al-Ihsan Foundation’s primary goals. According to UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME, nearly half of the world’s population, more than 3 billion people live on less than $2.50, and more than 1.3 billion of them live in extreme poverty on less than $1.25 a day. This leaves them with barely anything, allowing them to purchase a loaf of bread or a bottle of water. Not only is this unhealthy, but many of them are forced to choose between food, water, or hygiene.
