Description
There are many reasons as to why establishing and supporting youth centres are so important, not only in Australia but around the entire world. We find many personal and social issues amongst the youth of today. Some of these issues include:
- Depression and suicide,
- The use of drugs and alcohol,
- Education disparity,
- Violence in schools,
- Crime and gang activity,
- Extremism, and,
- Obesity, etc.
Many youths are disengaging with the community, which affectively brings out many issues and factors, not only to the youth themselves but to the community as a whole. If programs and infrastructure are not provided and developed then we may have greater issues to deal with in the future.
