Groundwater is an important source of water for many people living in rural areas in Sri Lanka. In fact, it’s estimated that more than seventy-two per cent (72%) of the population relies on ground waters to meet their needs!

Although shallow water wells don’t last as long as deep ones, they are a fast and affordable solution for many vulnerable communities. This water well provides thousands of needy people around the world with safe and convenient access to clean water.
