Support the Poor & Needy
Global poverty is devasting and ever increasing. People (including children) living in third world countries are dying from malnutrition, curable conditions and preventable diseases such as diarrhea, pneumonia and malaria.
Every year, 3.1 million children (8,500 a day) die from malnutrition. Around 385 million children live in poverty around the world and 805 million people worldwide don’t have enough food to eat. Almost half the world (over three billion people) live on less than $2.50 a day. This means that billions of people around the world are having to choose between food, water or hygiene.
“To give charity publicly is good, but to give to the poor privately is better for you, and will absolve you of your sins. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.”
[Qur’an: 2, 271]
What we do
Al-Ihsan Foundation conducts annual campaigns that set out to support the poor and needy by providing them with not only food and water (Food packs) but also sanitary products to help prevent disease and promote personal hygiene (Sanitary packs).
Al-Ihsan Foundation food packages contain nutritional necessities such as bread, rice, oil, sugar, soups, water, and/or pre-cooked meals that cater to every country’s cultural cuisine.
Sanitary packs contain personal items such as shoes, jumpers, blankets, pillows; as well as items that promote personal hygiene such as soaps, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Al-Ihsan Foundation distributes these packages nationally (that is to the homeless and needy in Australia) as well as internationally (to refugees, the displaced, to orphans and the disadvantaged)
Donate today and help feed a hungry family and/or provide them with personal and hygiene essentials.
