Water for Life Campaign
Water is essential to all life on earth, however millions of people around the world lack access to it. Around 785 million people worldwide (that is 1 in every 9 people) do not have access to safe water.
What is safe water?
Safe water is that water which is used for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene and meets the Basic Drinking Water Quality Standard Parameters set in the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines; Drinking Water Quality Standards. Drinking polluted or unsafe water can result in extreme sickness and disease such as vomiting, diarrhoea, dehydration and skin rashes. When contaminated water is consumed for extended periods it often results in death.
For as little as $50 you can provide clean and safe water to families and children in communities who are either without a household water connection or access to safe water. The Al-Ihsan Foundation Water for Life Campaign aims to deliver and distribute clean safe drinking water to those people who are without access to it. We provide safe water to people all over the world- who otherwise would be consuming contaminated water.

Sa’d ibn Ubadah reported: He said, “O Messenger of Allah, theu mother of Sa’d has died, so what is the best charity I may give on her behalf?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Water.” Sa’d dug a well and he said, “This is for the mother of Sa’d.” (Abu Dawud)
